Report A - April 24th: 10:45 PM

Event Description

(NUFORC Case: S97358) The objects were located in the East in the 2 o’clock position just above the ocean. The lights were colored a reddish/magenta larger than a star in diameter and appearing as a bright light. The objects were approximately the size of two stars combined and circular in diameter. The lights came on brightly and pulsated in color becoming brighter and shutting off. The lights came back on in different positions of the sky moving to a different position each time they came on. Note: The sky was cloudy and there were no other stars in the sky. The objects appeared in locations/positions in the sky where no stars are noted in a standard celestial constellation map. I have lived on the East Coast of North Carolina for 5 years and I have never seen any stars located in this area of the sky.

Report B - April 24th: 11:00 PM

Event Description

(NUFORC Case: S97344) Orange lights over the ocean for about 5-6 minutes!Sitting on the porch watching a boat sail by (with binoculars) one orange light appeared over the ocean I called to my wife she could see it also then a second appeared for less than 30 seconds them the both just kind of went out like a flare burning out but they did not rise or fall or move left or right they just hung at the same height and distance. I could tell that by the ship that moved past it's lights were clear and moving from right to left!

Report C - April: 24th: 10:45 PM

Event Description

(MUFON Case: 46984) I was talking on the telephone looking at the ocean. What made me first take notice was the brightness of the fireball and the pulsation of the light. Note: The 2 fireballs were sighted in positions the sky where no stars are noted in a standard celestial constellation map. I have lived on the East Coast of North Carolina for 5 years and I have never seen any stars located in this area of the sky. The objects were located in the East in the 2 o?clock position just above the ocean. The lights were colored a reddish/magenta, larger than a star in diameter, and appearing as a bright light. I have seen these objects at least 6 or 7 times in 2012 so I was not astounded. These sightings have become common place living here on the ocean and Im always excited to see them again. I have noticed a pattern with these fireballs: They are sighted frequently before and after the full moon around the hours of 9PM-12. I feel like these fireballs are part of my every day reality. I would like some answers as to what these things are and what is it they are actually doing?
I lost sight of the objects after approximately 1 hour of viewing them.

Certainly this is just two cases if not one - nonetheless, what's going on down there? Or, is this simply Chinese Lanterns, Kites, or RC gadgets of some sort.

`Holly Springs' Area - TWO `UFO' Reports Within Days In March (Via MUFON)

Both are just short reports - the first from (Apex, NC) March 8th (both reports are between 10-11 PM): 
Myself and two other individuals were traveling north bound on a main road when we saw an extremely large bright light in the distance. It was brighter than anything I have ever seen. It hovered above the tree line for approximately ten seconds then "fell" straight down. It was hovering, there was no trial, so I ruled out falling star or meteor. I have lived near air force bases all my life, so I know what their aircraft are like, this FELL at a speed much faster than any human made aircraft. The color was of a glowing blue-white and was almost blinding bright. It was approximately 40 degrees above horizon, hovered, then "fell" behind the tree line. I have NEVER seen any type of human aircraft (including experimental) with lights as bright or fly in this manner, or at rates of speed this craft flew). My son was walking the dogs the night before and claimed he saw something of the same description and as I am very skeptical, I just assumed it was an aircraft. He said it was the SAME EXACT thing as he saw the previous night in the same general area.

The second report was just a few days later on the 12th and just a few miles to the south of the first incident(s):
I walked outside with the dogs before bedtime. I glanced up and saw six or seven bright blue-white lights in formation moving smoothly and silently across the sky. They were flying-wing shaped without any aircraft type lights. The entire surface of each object was glowing. I thought they were possibly illuminated birds at first, but they were moving too quickly. They accelerated rapidly beyond my line of site due to tall trees in the near ground. I was in disbelief and feel a bit shaken. I have never researched or reported a UFO sighting. Any other "UFO" I have previously witnessed was unremarkable compared to this.MUFON Report Link

5 UFO Reports In Hickory NC Area - Within Last Month

Hello North Carolina. This blog as you might know is one of three UFO blogs I do. Slowly in 2013 I intend to cover all of the 100 plus UFO reports to MUFON in 2012 in this blog. But, I thought I'd step out of character and simply look at the reports to the two leading UFO report gathering organizations to see what's been happening in N.C............. turns out the Hickory area had 5 MUFON and NUFORC reports..... the most of any metro area in NC.

Report One - Lenoir NC - Near Hwy 64 and Gamewell N.C. - `Star like - Just Weird' - March 4th about 9:50 PM

(MUFON Case: 46032) Very simply put. It really looked like a star, but stars do not change from white to red, the float like a balloon, dim a bit, to were you could barley see, fly weird, and then vanish.

...At a carp pond in Catawba County off og Claremont rd. Notice 3 orbs appeared. Come towards trees behind me. hovered over a mile above me. Appeared like stars at dusk. some brighter than others. some stayed stationary some moved around. Some seem to band together. One though that grouped with others was a twinkly blue. 

I notice the first 3 watching the planes and the contrails.. I first though it was a possible ballon.. but not until several dozen appeared and were stationary.... 

I was excited. Thrillled to see this after seeing it on line several times.

Report Three - North of Hickory, March 21st, about 8:40 PM - short perception event of 5-7 seconds of `Ribbon (object) twisting, rolling, and moving widthwise'

I live in the NE section of Hickory,NC. 
It was March 21st at 8:40PM I had walked outside at 8:22 pm looking for the Pan Starrs comet I was having No luck and was about to walk inside when I just happened to look up toward Orion when something caught my eye. 
It was moving very fast, But I had enough time to look at it through my 10x40 binoculars for several seconds. 
It was Twisting and Rolling just like a Ribbon or a Snake But moving Width Wise East to West as if a strong wind was pushing it. The breeze was maybe 5 mph But blowing West to East, There was absolutely No Sound. 
The object was self illuminated almost pulsating a dull gold/copper color 
But only on the bottom. 
Like a light was shining on it from the ground But that wasnt the case. 
I started to run inside and call the local airport, but we are about to lose our airports tower and I didnt want to bother them with a UFO report. 
The object passed over my yard and 2 of my neighbors yard toward a shopping Center before it vanished from view. 

I do know Geese fly at night but they dont glow or shimmer and they normally honk when they fly so they dont bump into each other, Plus this wasnt a V shape. 
I live in a fly zone for the airport so Im used to seeing aircraft at night, Im guessing this was at least 1000 feet up and about 120 ft long like the 3 Buses end to end give or take, But not very thick. 

Ive seen several things I couldnt explain in the years past, BUT nothing like this and the effect it has had over me, I have been so on edge all day I just felt like I had to report it. 
I hope another backyard stargazer was as Lucky as I and got to see it also. 
It was pretty amazing, I just wish I had taken my camera outside, but I hadnt.

The last two of the reports were both from the immediate Hickory area and both were close physically from the ground - both not far from Cape Hickory Road. One happened on February 27th and one on March 8th - both involved the description of an object with at least blue and red lights.

I FIRST SAW THE UFO ON A WEDNESDAY NIGHT ABOUT 12:30 AM ON MARCH 27, 2013 I SPOTED IT WHEN I TOOK MY DOG OUT FOR THE NIGHT, IT WAS ABOVE THE TREES HOVERING AND MOVING UP AND DOWN SLIGHTLEY, IT HAD RED LIGHT AND BLUE LIGHTS AROUN IT`S BODY, AND A WHITE LIGHT ON TOP, I KEPT WATCHING IT FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES, THEN I WENT AND GOT MY WIFE AND ASKED HERE IF I WAS SEEING THINGS, SO SHE LOOKED AND SAW IT TOO, SO WE WATCHED IT HOVER AND WATCHED THE LIGHTS GOING AROUND IT, WE WHATCHED IT FOR WHILE, THEN WE GOT TIRED AND WENT TO BED ABOUT AN HOUR LATER. I THEN SAW IT AGAIN 2 MORE TIME THE SAME STYLE ON MARCH 2,2013 AT 1:00 AM AND THEN AGAIN ON MARCH 3,2013 ABOUT 12:30 AM

And, this report from March 8th -- sure sounds similar to the above report - and indeed IF the objects below fly `west'  - the above location is southwest of this repeat Orb/UFO report below: Repeating Orbs In North Carolina
I am reporting to you again I have been seeing them every night when it is clear over my house, I have power lines by my house and it seems that they are getting energy off of these lines, they hover over them for about 2 hours and then they fly away due west. And they are near the cell phone tower toohovering over it. 
They are bright in color with red, blue,green and orange light, with a white light on top. 
They are here every night about 10:00 pm to about 1:00 am in the morning 
I have been seeing them for about 3 weeks, as I reported last week about them. 
I am located in connelly springs north carolina, has any body else seen them, please let me know. 
And somebody really needs to check on this, like nasa or the goverment.

For just a thirty day period, these are pretty impressive reports of Orbs in the Hickory North Carolina area. It certainly seems that at least multiple folks are seeing these and obviously one person is growing in concern. 

Of course, there is a catch 22 in that the growing concern raises intentionalities that the Orbs may be also feeding off if one is to believe in an anomalous explanation bordering on the Fortean.

Veteran Swears HUGE Triangle Above Asheville, N.C. - 8:15 PM - Thursday February 21st (via blog comments)

So far, I have NOT been able to `confirm' this report in any manner; as NO MUFON reports from NC are listed in the latest MUFON 20 reports. Additionally, NO YouTube Uploads from last night for Asheville UFO via a search (I did find a recent one however and will be showing it below.) I will search a bit more later too, but, I bring this up as the comment suggests that MULTIPLE folks were observing this amazing sighting.

Live in Asheville I'm a OIF veteran i swear on my life. Its 2-21-13 time was about 8:15pm near the Asheville mall exit. Massive triangle in the sky with some type of red orange orb in the middle. Not the only witness traffic on the hwy basically came to a stop to look at this thing we all almost crashed. Unreal! The lights forming the triangle were distinct. This was nothing like ive everseen in the air. Besides like in PIC 1.

Three Greenville NC 2012 UFO Reports - A Review

I continue with the review of the 2012 North Carolina UFO reports - today - the Greenville NC area.

Report One - Aug. 14th - east of Greenville, near Washington, nearest to Greenville of the three reports - a hovering blinking star that suddenly shoots all around the sky and avoids a plane coming into its space. Seen over an extended period of time - here's the MUFON report - Dropping And Rising Orb.

Report Two - July 9th - about 10 miles north of the report above, near Williamston - I'll let the MUFON report speak for itself:
While at work, a coworker and I stepped outside to talk for a minute. We then noticed a rather large, metallic object that a looked like it was hovering above the field just adjacent to us. It was hard to judge the distance but we dont think it was very high, maybe 1k feet or so and to the best of our ability wed judged the size to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 to 60 feet in diameter. It just hovered there. We watched it for a few minutes freaked out as to what is could be. Ive seen crop dusters in the area for years, and the helicopters that fly in and out of the hospital and this was nothing like that. While we watched it it made no sound at all, absolutely none. Then spontaneously the object darted off. It didnt travel horizontally very fast at all rather it accelerated vertically extremely quickly. It was gone within a few seconds. I have no idea what I saw today and have spent the past hour or so searching the internet looking at pics and for information. That is how I happened across this site. Whatever it was, it was worth reporting

Report Three - Aug. 19th near Plymouth NC. - a REPEAT UFO viewer in a short period of time - light turns into three lights - then into Triangle Craft - hovered - then disappeared and reappeared at another point in the sky and then vanished. A great and detailed MUFON report that even included `Cell Phone Disturbence'  - freaky. More details worth absorbing. BTW folks in North Carolina - this one light turns into three turns into a Triangle Craft is becoming very very common and has been referenced in the UK UFO Disclosure.

"Grey Looking Alien Shape Shadow" - MUFON Report - Winston Salem, 2012

In my review of `UFO events' reported to MUFON in 2012 - this first report has been the most unusual so far, as today I bring to readers the 3 `events' close to and classified as the Winston-Salem area of North Carolina. (As an aside I did marketing research projects in NC in Winston-Salem decades ago. Even did some touristy stuff. Only town, other than Richmond Virginia where a person could sniff the tobacco in the air.) 

Very interestingly, ALL three reports are west of the city and strung along Route 421 relatively near the intersection of Route 601 - quite curious, don't you think?

Anyway, the report itself is short and sweet, and brings to the forefront, just how strange the perceptions of `the anomalous' can be. Obviously the `alien'-ness of this is in question. So, the report is here - happened June 29th, 2012 around midnight:

Oh, did I mention that the report indicates that the shadow alien was FOLLOWING a skunk? (Symbolic of UFOlogy?) The report also includes how long the view of the alien lasted.

Report Two - Also near Yadkinville, May 27th, about 10 PM, a steady moving star like (read Orb) that was silent and changed colors twice. 2012 Star-like object near Yadkinville North Carolina - you can dig even deeper at the link if you wish.

Report Three - A very bright `giant star' that flew in a zig zag pattern towards the moon's location in the sky and then quickly descended and vanished. Another Yadkinville UFO. Multiple witnesses. Find out the time of day at the report.

Western North Carolina Highlands 2012 UFO Reports

Hello North Carolina folk. I continue today with the 2012 UFO reports by citizens about sightings reported to MUFON.Com. Specifically today we'll look at several in the general area of Boone. Ready?

First up - near Boone - January 8th, 2012, a strange blue light near the ground close to residents home location for 15 minutes - the proverbial `it was gone when I returned' as citizen did another midnight action. Detailed MUFON Report - interestingly, when the citizen examined the area the next day - they found electrical lines and thought the object was drawing power from them. Hmmm.

2nd up - north of Boone - What became a near nightly bright and unidentified light, that in the report 9-22-12 about the 9-21 event ALSO turned into multiple objects in the sky. Citizen had Sheriff Deputies come out at one point. Interesting Account. `Never seen anything like it'.

3rd up - March 19th, 2012 - well north of Boone - Astounding Bright Light observed for nearly an hour - Not An Aircraft.

NINE 2012 Asheville, North Carolina UFO Reports Via Mufon

Hello North Carolina. As some of you know, this is a `side blog' of my main UFO blogs. I started this blog in 2011 with about a dozen posts and then didn't post to the blog in 2012. And now, in 2013 - I'm going to use a new resource I found in 2012 to update this website on a regular basis - about 2012. Indeed, this will be one of the best `state' UFO blogs on the internet I hope. Well see.

Anyway, I've decided to start in the western part of NC - Asheville to be exact. The MUFON reports for 2012 showed that 9 folks took the time to report the high strangeness around them. Now, the reports:

10-23-12, taking the dog out led to seeing an Orb for the Third Time one of which was also reported to MUFON.

2-10-12 - A WOW report for sure, witness reported seeing multiple lights on multiple days and invited others to observe - the result is a great report and great pictures.


The report on this one is just as interesting and involved the North Carolina Public Relations Director by name as one of the witnesses of this multi night event - Amazing 2-10-12 UFO Display.
